Reflexology

Liz Bailey R.G.N. M.A.R.

Part of my philosophy for a healthy lifestyle is to be kind to yourself and recognise your own limitations. I love walking, swimming and reading books, and for a time I couldn't manage any of them. Now I do and can say that I am definitely happier for it.

Reflexology is an ancient art, derived in Egypt and been used in China for 5,000 years. There are reflex areas in the hands and feet, which correspond to all the organs, glands and parts of the body. During a treatment pressure is applied to specific areas on the feet which stimulate the nerve pathways and send an energy or nerve impulse through the entire system. It is a unique method of using the thumbs and fingers. It helps stimulate circulation which will improve oxygen reaching vital organs encouraging the body's own natural healing processes. Reflexology can help relieve stress and tension and the treatment is generally very relaxing.

It can be beneficial for many conditions, such as stress and anxiety, hormone imbalance, muscular and skeletal pain, digestive problems, skin conditions, headaches and migraines, conception, pre and post natal care, relaxation and well being.

Treatment lasts for an hour and the cost is £22 with concessions for Senior Citizens £18 and Children (treatment time will be less, usually no more than half an hour) £12.

Treatments can be booked through reception of by calling the clinic on 01787 478789. If you wish to discuss you complaint with the reflexologist please call 01787 477431.
